What Paint Protection Film Does
Film is a self-healing urethane that sits on your paint as a physical barrier, taking stone chips and scratches in the paint’s place. A ceramic coating does another job, as a chemical layer bonded to the paint. The film takes the impact, and the coating handles UV, grime and easy cleaning.
We’re XPEL and SunTek certified installers. Each film comes with its own manufacturer warranty of up to 10 years against yellowing and delamination.
How Long Paint Protection Film Takes
You’ll usually be without your car for 1 to 2 days for partial coverage, or 3 to 5 days for full vehicle coverage, depending on what you book. A ceramic coating over the film cures indoors for 24 hours before the car is ready to collect.
Where Paint Protection Film Goes
Give us your car’s details and what you’d like done, and we’ll assess what it needs and explain why. The bonnet, bumper and mirrors are the usual first choice, because they take the most hits.
You can book film on its own or with a ceramic coating. Book both and the film goes on first, with the coating over the top, so the film and the rest of the paint are protected together. Our Klemzig Workshop
All fitting is done indoors at Unit 4, 13 Thames Avenue, Klemzig SA 5087. Specialist lighting and climate control keep the paint clear of dust, wind and weather while the film goes on.
