Timeframe for Your Ceramic Coating
Expect to be without the car for 1 to 3 days, depending on the service you book. The coating cures indoors for 24 hours, and the car is ready to collect after that. Don’t wash it for the first 7 days, as the coating keeps hardening after pickup. Washing as normal is fine from then on.
Paint Correction and Prep
We assess your car before any work starts, then explain what the paint needs and why. Swirl marks and scratches are dealt with first, because a coating over them locks them in. Every package includes a machine polish, which lifts light marks and gets the paint ready for the coating.
If the paint needs more than a polish, our paint correction service comes first. We’ll tell you what it involves, and what it adds to the quote, before we begin.
Paint Protection Film With Your Coating
Coating protects against UV, grime and contamination. It won’t stop a stone chip, though. To add that protection, we can fit paint protection film to the bonnet, bumper and side mirrors, where the impact is greatest, and then coat over the top so the film and the rest of the car are protected together.
