What Paint Protection Film Does
This self-healing urethane film sits on the paint as a physical barrier against stone chips and scratches. A ceramic coating is a different job, a chemical layer that bonds to the paint. The film takes the impact, while the coating handles UV, grime and easy cleaning.
We’re XPEL and SunTek certified installers, and each film carries its own manufacturer warranty of up to 10 years against yellowing and delamination.
How Long Paint Protection Film Takes
Depending on what you book, partial coverage usually takes 1 to 2 days, and full vehicle coverage takes 3 to 5 days. A ceramic coating over the film cures indoors for 24 hours, and then the car is ready to collect.
Where Paint Protection Film Goes on Your Car
Give us your car’s details and what you’d like done, and we’ll assess what it needs and why. The bonnet, bumper and mirrors are the areas most people begin with, since they take the most hits.
Film is available on its own or with a ceramic coating. Choose both and the film goes on first, with the coating over the top, so the film and the rest of the paint are protected together. We do every job indoors at Unit 4, 13 Thames Avenue, Klemzig SA 5087. Specialist lighting and climate control keep dust, wind and weather off the paint while the film goes on.
