How the Film Protects Your Paint
Paint protection film is a self-healing urethane that sits on your paint and blocks stone chips and scratches physically. A ceramic coating is a chemical layer bonded to the paint, so it does a different job. The film takes the impact, and the coating handles UV, grime and easy cleaning.
We’re XPEL and SunTek certified installers. Each film has its own manufacturer warranty of up to 10 years against yellowing and delamination.
Fitting Time for Paint Protection Film
Partial coverage usually takes 1 to 2 days, and full vehicle coverage takes 3 to 5 days, depending on what you book. If a ceramic coating is added over the film, the car cures indoors for 24 hours before it’s ready to collect.
Where the Film Goes on Your Car
Tell us about your car and what you’re after, and we’ll assess what it needs and why. Most people start with the bonnet, bumper and mirrors, the areas that take the most hits.
Film can be booked on its own or with a ceramic coating. When you book both, the film goes on first and the coating goes over the top, so the film and the rest of the paint are protected together. Your car stays indoors the whole time, at Unit 4, 13 Thames Avenue, Klemzig SA 5087. Specialist lighting and climate control keep dust, wind and weather off the paint while the film goes on.
